Initial Consultation

We offer a complimentary online meeting to discuss the services that best meet the needs of your school, faculty, teachers and students. After the initial consultation, we make recommendations as to the appropriate services that we can provide. These will meet your identified needs as well as the demands and requirements of the NSW Technology Mandatory and Industrial Technology syllabus.

Material Preparation

With the increased demands on teaching and preparation time, we offer support through the preparation and cutting of materials for project based learning. This provides teachers with more time to organise their lessons and concentrate on lesson delivery.

Machinery and Workshop Maintenance

We are available on an hourly basis or on a cyclic maintenance program to service Industrial Arts machinery. This includes sharpening hand tools, such as chisels, planes, planner blades and blade setting. We also provide a sharpening service of knives utilised in Hospitality and Home Economics.

Individualised Teacher Professional Learning

Targeted and individualised professional learning experiences are the key to improving students outcomes. We offer courses to meet the Digital Education requirements in Stage 4 Technology Mandatory and Industrial Technology Stages 5 and 6. We offer support services that encompass resourcing and organisation workshop processes.

Teacher Support

We provide support for early career teachers in Technology Education and the management of the teaching and workshop environment. Technology education is an exciting and engaging experience for students, however the increased demands on teachers managing and maintaining an extensive range of new and emerging technologies, tools and machinery can be overwhelming. TESS provides professional learning experiences in pedagogical practices to improve teacher confidence and student outcomes. Your faculty may have experienced teachers that are new to the areas of Timber, Metal or Digital technologies. We provide support in all areas of teaching in a project based learning environment or workshop.

What maintenance solutions do we offer on heavy plant machinery?

Thicknesser - sharpen and blade reset, lubricate table surface and bearings
Disc Sanders - replace abrasive surface
Bandsaws - bearing replacement, blade change and alignment and wheel resurfacing
Drill Press - adjustable table worm gear replacement
